Keira Christina Knightley was actually christened as Kiera, and was born in Teddington, a quiet suburb of south-west London. She has one brother, Caleb, who is five years older than her. Keira's Scottish-born mother, Sharman MacDonald, had formerly worked as a stage and TV actress, appearing in the popular detective series, ‘Shoestring’. 
   After Keira's mother gave up acting, she went on to pursue a successful career as a playwright. Keira's father was Will Knightley, who was also a stage and TV actor. With such a theatrical background, it was hardly surprising that young Keira should grow up wanting to act.
   Knightley landed her first blockbuster hit in 2003 with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Based on a ride at Disneyland, this adventure tale starred Johnny Depp as the notorious pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow. Knightley's character, Elizabeth Swann, got caught up in the action along with Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), and she reprised her role in the film's 2006 and 2007 sequels.

    It must have been a very time-consuming work to collect all these facts! But, anyway, the result is impressive. Keira Knightley is really a very attractive woman and actually a fine actress. I haven't watched many films startig her, what I have seen was a nice work of hers.

    I admire this actress. She is so pretty, womanly and lovely. I have watched a lot of films with her participation. And I must say I like all of them.
